Whitten Campground Fulton Mississippi Northeast region
Corp of Engineers $77 for 7 nights (America the Beautiful Senior Pass) gotta love that old age perk 😆
So, we stayed at site 38 the first night, and then moved to site 9 for the rest of the trip! There were three loops in total; site 38 was in the middle loop, and site 9 was in the first one. 😊

The middle loop was very wooded, tall trees surrounding the sites. Site 38 was very level and definitely accommodated our 32ft RV. 35 was the best choice for that loop. However, site 9, to us, was the best overall. Pull-thru and pretty level. Very very long as it looks like it used to be 2 sites, now 1. Had great view of the lake and beautiful sunsets. 11 is supposed to be the prime site but we didn’t like how you had to back in. Many of the sites have very steep driveways. I would guess that about half the sites are big rig friendly. The sites have water and electric, 20, 30 and 50 amp. We had to switch to 50 because the breaker overloaded.

The campground host seemed very pleasant; however, they were unable to assist us with checking in because our tag wasn’t available. For the majority of our stay, there wasn’t a ranger present on-site. When we were eventually able to reach her, she was extremely helpful in resolving our messed-up reservation.
Bathrooms and showers very clean. Grounds were very clean, however there are a lot of repairs needed throughout the campground, the dock and the trails, for example. There is a playground and basketball court. There is a history center but that was closed due to federal holiday.
Nearby, is a two mile walking/bike path that was perfect for getting some cycling in. It also runs near the Itawamba Community College which was fun to explore. This, by the way, was one of the prettiest community college campuses we’ve seen.
We would definitely come here again. Especially, site 9.
